Al-Wali
The Governor, who takes charge of, directs and protects all things.
About
Al-Wali comes from the root w-l-y, "to be near, to take charge, to govern," and means the One who takes charge of the affairs of all beings, ordering and directing them. The Name Al-Wali in the sense of "Protecting Friend" shares the same root.
This Name expresses that nothing in the universe is left unattended; everything is under direction and care. God's governance rests on knowledge, wisdom and mercy.
Al-Wali appears in the Qur'an in the form "wal" in verse 11 of Surah Ar-Ra'd: people have no patron besides Him. The same verse states that God will not change the condition of a people until they change what is within themselves.
From the Qur'an
For him [i.e., each one] are successive [angels] before and behind him who protect him by the decree of Allah. Indeed, Allah will not change the condition of a people until they change what is in themselves. And when Allah intends for a people ill, there is no repelling it. And there is not for them besides Him any patron.
Reflection

Before trying to change others, looking at something you can change in yourself is a good place to start.
