Al-Qayyum
The Self-Sustaining, who holds up and watches over all that exists.
About
Al-Qayyum is an intensive form from the root q-w-m, "to stand, to take charge of something." It carries two meanings at once: the One who needs nothing in order to exist, and the One who keeps everything else standing, protecting and managing it.
The order of the universe cannot carry on by itself for even a moment; the preservation of the heavens and the earth and the continued existence of every creature depend on His care. The Verse of the Throne says that neither drowsiness nor sleep overtakes Him, expressing that this care never pauses.
Al-Qayyum appears three times in the Qur'an (Al-Baqarah 2:255, Aal-Imran 3:2, Ta-Ha 20:111), and each time it is paired with Al-Hayy, highlighting the link between being ever-living and upholding all things.

Allah - there is no deity except Him, the Ever-Living, the Self-Sustaining.
And [all] faces will be humbled before the Ever-Living, the Self-Sustaining. And he will have failed who carries injustice.
Reflection
Sometimes you feel as if you have to hold everything up on your own: work, family, relationships, the future. Yet you are not the true support of anything; you are responsible only for your part. Seeing this does not make you careless; it lifts weight you were never meant to carry. Do what you can, then taste the calm of leaving the rest to the One who sustains all things.
