Al-Haqq
The Truth; the One whose existence is real and unchanging.
About
Al-Haqq comes from the root h-q-q, meaning to be firmly established, to come true, and to be right and fitting. In Arabic, haqq means both what is true and what is rightfully due to someone; the word haqiqah (reality) comes from the same root.
Al-Haqq is the One whose existence depends on nothing else, whose being is certain and unchanging. His word is true, His promise is real and His judgment is just. Everything other than Him owes its existence to Him, which makes Him the source of all truth.
In Surah Al-Hajj the Quran states that Allah is the True Reality, that He gives life to the dead and that He has power over all things. The same emphasis returns in another verse of Surah Al-Hajj and in Surah Luqman, contrasting Him with the falsehood of whatever is worshipped besides Him. In Surah An-Nur He is called "al-haqq al-mubin," the manifest Truth.

Reflection
Small lies, exaggerations and half-truths can look like an easy way out during the day. Remembering Al-Haqq means knowing that solid ground can only be built on what is true. When you hold on to the truth, you never need another lie to protect it. Honesty can feel hard at times, but it leaves you lighter inside.
